Airdrop review: which drops actually paid

Effort versus payout - the boring pattern that keeps repeating

Everyone remembers the legends. Four hundred UNI for a single swap. ENS names that paid rent. Blur turning loyal traders into five-figure recipients. We scored the big drops and the forgettable ones on two axes: effort required and payout delivered.

The pattern nobody wants to hear

The best airdrops went to people who used the product because they liked the product. Uniswap paid users, not farmers. ENS paid people who registered names for themselves. Blur paid real volume. The sybil arms race has only tightened since.

Scoring the famous ones

Our take

Use what you enjoy, document nothing, farm nothing. If a drop comes, it is a dividend on a hobby - that is the only frame in which airdrops are a good deal.
